Damrod of Ithilien

And here is me as Damrod of Ithilien, ranger from Gondor. You can see that I've offed the sexy long hair and exchanged it for a sex goatee. The name (which is way too easy to make fun of) has earned me the loving nickname of "iPod." Damrod the iPod.

This took place at the 31st annual Middle Earth Festival a few weeks ago, celebrating the Lord of the Rings and other such assorted works by J.R.R. Tolkien. It was so recent that my farmer's tan sunburns haven't even dissappeared completely. What great fun!

The gloves, baldric, bastard sword, tunic, leggings, vambraces, and necklace were provided by Maeline Simon. She actually made everything listed but the sword, leggings, and tunic. I provided the chain mail, belt, boots, and sexy human canvas. Together, we make a good team.

This won me "Best Costume" second to Maeline herself, but she doesn't count--she had a different costume for every meal of the day, both days.
